Entered in the 2025 Australian FENCING and GATE Awards is this gate project by Walsh Gates.
The installation delivered a fully automated dual swing gate spanning 10 metres wide and 3.5 metres high, supported by two manual aluminium pedestrian gates and matching infill panels.
Built for a high-traffic commercial site, the system combines heavy-duty performance with modern design, finished in Surfmist powder-coated steel and aluminium.
Key features include 4000kg-rated bearing hinges, precision vertical bar spacing for airflow, and 4G GSM access control.
Despite challenges such as limited installation space and a high-spec concrete entry ramp, the team achieved full functionality and safety using custom bracketry and non-invasive fixing methods, ensuring the project blended seamlessly with its architectural surrounds.
