This 2025 Australian FENCING Awards entry by Fencepac Commercial showcases an expertly executed project at Brisbane Metro’s End of Trip Facilities in Dutton Park, Queensland.
The works involved the design, supply and installation of a noise wall engineered to minimise sound transmission while improving environmental quality. Fencepac also integrated an architectural façade that achieved both functional and aesthetic goals, complemented by secure access gates.
Key challenges included managing vandalism, manufacturing curved panels in-house for the first time, and maintaining consistent colour across the concrete finishes.
Despite these complexities, Fencepac delivered the project on time while bus services continued to operate, thanks to detailed coordination with the client and Translink to minimise commuter disruption.
Finalists will be announced at the end of 2025, with winners to be presented at the Australian FENCING Awards in March 2026.
