PROTECTION ENCLOSURES
For this Tarneit facility, GUARDIAN FENCING designed, fabricated and installed a fully enclosed aerosol protection system to the client’s security and fire-response requirements. The enclosure is a floorto-ceiling galvanised chainmesh barrier that follows the roofline to a maximum height of 14 metres across a 103-metre run, detailed with no openings greater than 50mm to prevent aerosol cans passing through. Posts were fixed to roof beams using custom-made clamps, avoiding floor penetrations and maintaining alignment across varying roof geometry. Access is provided via six double sliding gates and two single sliding gates, all mounted on overhead tracks with a 4.7 metre clearance height. Gates are held open by an electromagnetic link that de-energises on fire trip, triggering automatic closure via a counterweight system, while remaining unlocked when closed to allow emergency egress.
