BuildSkills invites applications for Fencing and Gate Industry Technical Committee

BuildSkills Australia has commenced its Fencing and Gate Industry Project and is inviting applications for members of its Technical Committee.

According to BuildSkills Australia, the project will engage with the fencing and gate industry to develop an evidence base on workforce skills and training requirements. That evidence will inform recommendations for future training product outcomes.

BuildSkills Australia has advised that the project responds to consistent feedback from industry stakeholders, identifying areas where training products may need to evolve to better meet current and future workforce needs.

Fencing Industry Australia encourages experienced contractors and other industry professionals from every Australian state and territory to consider applying for the Technical Committee. Broad national participation will help ensure industry knowledge and practical experience are reflected throughout the project.

To assist with balanced industry representation, Fencing Industry Australia encourages interested applicants to contact Steve Mazur before submitting an application. Steve can explain the project, discuss the Technical Committee role and provide guidance on the application process.

Applications for the Fencing and Gate Industry Technical Committee close on Friday, 10 July 2026.
