Gate Industry Australia invites all members of the fencing and gate community, including installers, manufacturers, designers, safety professionals and regulators, to provide feedback on the Draft Gates and Automation Code of Practice.
Developed through the Gates and Automation Taskforce, this draft Code represents an important step toward establishing a consistent national framework for the safe design, installation, operation and maintenance of automated gates across Australia.
The Code is voluntary and intended to provide clear and practical guidance that supports safer and more consistent industry practices. Your input will play a vital role in ensuring the final version is realistic, relevant and aligned with current Australian Standards and WHS legislation.
This consultation is open to everyone working with gates, large or small. Whether you are a one-person business or part of a major organisation, your experience matters. The feedback form is simple to complete, and every comment helps us make the Code practical and achievable for real-world conditions.
