Feature front fence by BDR Fencing nominated in national Awards

BDR Fencing delivered a practical and visually appealing front boundary solution for this coastal property in Jan Juc, Victoria. The project featured a striking combination of materials and thoughtful design integration to suit the site’s varying brick pier heights.

The installation included two automatic sliding gates and a pedestrian gate. One of the key challenges was aligning the new components with existing brick piers of differing heights—successfully managed to maintain a consistent and polished appearance.

To reduce maintenance without compromising on aesthetics, black composite battens were chosen for the infill, fixed with black stainless steel screws to enhance the clean look.

Products used:

  • Composite battens (40×30 in black) supplied by Futurewood

  • Cypress posts and treated pine 72×42 loops for rails supplied by Mitre10 Belmont

  • Metal gate frames manufactured by Breakwater Metaland, Geelong

This project has been entered into the 2025 Australian FENCING and GATE Awards.
