The Victorian Government supports regional communities with targeted investments in local agricultural and pastoral societies, ensuring that regional shows and community hubs thrive.
Victorian Minister for Agriculture Ros Spence recently announced $300,000 in funding to 34 agricultural and pastoral societies across the state as part of the Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants Program.
This funding, which includes grants of up to $10,000 for eligible societies, is aimed at enhancing infrastructure like fencing, electrical systems, and public amenities.
Boosting Infrastructure and Fencing
In addition to essential upgrades, funding under the program has previously supported projects such as:
- New animal yards and fencing.
- Shade covers and lighting for showgrounds.
- Enhancements to shearing pavilions, luncheon halls, and public amenities.
