A new $105 million Exclusion Fence Restitution Program has been announced to help primary producers in Western Queensland rebuild essential fencing infrastructure damaged during the severe flooding event in March 2025.
Eligible producers will be able to apply for grants of up to $500,000 to restore or replace exclusion fencing critical for stock containment, animal welfare, and property management.
The program will be delivered through the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and is open to producers in local government areas activated under the relevant disaster assistance measures.
Fencing is a vital part of regional recovery, helping to reduce livestock losses and support ongoing productivity. This funding aims to provide fast, practical assistance to ensure primary producers can rebuild quickly and securely.
