Eagle Fabrication and Welding’s balustrade project entered in national Awards

The aluminium balustrade project by Eagle Fabrication and Welding has been entered in the 2025 Australian FENCING Awards.

The clients’ traditional timber balustrade had deteriorated due to harsh waterfront conditions, and they required a long-lasting, low-maintenance replacement. We were engaged to replicate the original design using aluminium, with panels installed between newly replaced timber posts.

The curved section around the master bedroom window is a standout feature, requiring precise measurements and careful fabrication to ensure each panel fitted perfectly without on-site modification.

All aluminium materials were sourced from Megastone Aluminium, including 100x50x3 RHS for the top and bottom rails, 50x25x2.5 RHS for the mid rail, and 65x16x1.6 RHS for the vertical balusters.

The client is delighted with the new balustrade, appreciating both its aesthetic appeal and the minimal upkeep compared to the previous timber structure. Entries for the Australian FENCING Awards close on 31 August, with Finalists announced at the end of the year and Winners presented at the Gala Awards Dinner as part of the 2026 Australian FENCING Conference in Melbourne in March.
