Fencing Industry Australia reminds all stakeholders that the consultation period for the Gates and Automation Code of Practice is closing soon, with submissions due by Tuesday, 26 November.
This Code of Practice represents an important step forward for the industry, providing clear expectations for safe, compliant installation and servicing of automated gates.
Since releasing the document for feedback, we have welcomed the positive input from contractors, suppliers, safety specialists, and other industry representatives. Their contributions are helping ensure the final Code reflects practical, real-world conditions across residential, commercial and industrial environments.
If you have not yet provided feedback, we strongly encourage you to do so before the closing date. Your insights are essential to achieving a consistent national approach to gate safety and supporting the industry’s long-term goal of reducing risk, improving installation standards, and lifting professionalism.
