Schmidt Aluminium Fabrication was selected as the winner in the Residential Gates category for their outstanding execution of a sleek and stylish entry solution at a Bilinga property.
The project was designed to enclose the driveway while enhancing the home’s architectural appeal. The custom aluminium sliding gate and matching side panels feature precision-installed 75x25mm vertical battens, set with 30mm spacing and alternating heights to create visual rhythm and texture. These battens are fixed to a 50mm SHS frame, supported by a 100x50mm RHS bottom rail, delivering both structural strength and refined detail.
The result is a visually striking yet highly functional entrance that balances privacy and openness perfectly. The quality of the fabrication and the success of the design led the client to engage Schmidt Aluminium Fabrication for additional matching works, including custom screening to discreetly conceal air conditioning units, rubbish bins, and hot water systems.
