AH Fencing was recognised for outstanding achievement in security and safety fencing at the CEVA Tyres Logistics Centre in Queensland – its third major project with Vaughan Constructions. This complex installation set a new benchmark for large-scale security fencing in Australia, combining technical precision, premium materials, and advanced automation.
Project Overview
The project scope included:
- 328 metres of 1800H black chainwire fencing topped with three rows of barbed wire, supplied by ARC Fences
- 532 metres of 2100H industrial spear top fencing from BlueScope Steel, offering high visual deterrence and structural integrity
- 182 metres of 1800mm lapped and capped timber fencing (CCA-treated) to meet site-specific screening and aesthetic requirements
- Two of the largest automatic sliding gates in the country, measuring 21 metres and 17 metres respectively
- Cantilever gate systems using imported Communello hardware and GDS630 industrial-grade motors for long-span performance and durability
This entry stood out for its scale, complexity, and innovation in both design and execution. The judging panel highlighted several key factors:
Engineering Excellence: The precision installation of long-span automatic sliding and cantilever gates demonstrated exceptional technical capability and planning.
Integration of Advanced Technology: The use of industrial-grade GDS630 motors and specialised Italian Communello components enabled seamless operation of high-load gate systems.
Material Selection and Specification: The fencing types were carefully chosen for their durability, performance, and suitability for a logistics centre’s operational demands.
Client Satisfaction: Vaughan Constructions commended AH Fencing for exceeding expectations in quality, safety compliance, and delivery timelines.
Contribution to Industry Standards: This project raises the bar for what is achievable in industrial security fencing, especially in high-movement logistics environments.
By combining innovation with execution excellence, AH Fencing has delivered a landmark security infrastructure project that reflects the best of the Australian fencing industry.
